Bamboo plants roots invading my garden front and back from neighbouring gardens

Post  selvaraja1939 on Mon Jul 21, 2014 5:40 am

With Ref to above, How do I contact the the neighbours and express my concern that the invading roots has a potential to damage my property/or block my drainage system. I now live in Birmingham, and have let the property.
Pl recommend a bamboo professional, who can eradicate the plants permanently from my garden.

Bamboo Problem

I would suggest the first action would be to get your tenants to explain the problem to the neighbours and then get a telephone number or email address so you can contact them to discuss if this can be sorted out between yourselves with the aid of a gardener who can remove or control the bamboo.  As this may involve your neighbour having the work done in their property you will probably need to consider financial issues in coming to some form of agreement.

I do not know of a specific bamboo specialist, I would have thought a reputable gardener would know what to do.
